Sophie Maxwell: Why recall? Why now?

Sophie Maxwell: Why recall? Why now?
The exact moment in time has arrived to pull down the veil of the corrupt, ethics depleted political status quo being perpetuated at City Hall via Supervisor Sophenia Maxwell, who represents District 10. Her controllers do not want to see her moved from that seat one second before January 2011. They have a well established relationship and flow with Ms. Maxwell right where she is. Putting the …

Overcoming Shyness

Written by Maxwell JenningsAlmost Everyone Experiences Shynessimage freerangestock.comYou would be surprised at how many people exhibit shy tendencies. With some shy folks it can be a little shyness and for other people it can be an almost crippling sensation of shyness and low confidence that can have detrimental affects on the quality of their lives. Avoidance, seclusion, and the inability to effectively operate in society due to being shy can feel as if you are in a downward spiral to the d

Biked out to Lynnwood and Back

Biked out to meet Linda for lunch. It was chilly in the morning! I wore a jacket for most of it, and was glad to have it! Mostly stayed on the Interurban Trail. Roy biked out to meet me after lunch. We were going to see a movie, but none started at the right time, except Funny People…and when Roy told me it was 3 hours long, I nixed it until tomorrow. Just didn’t want to be biking home during rush hour. (Although there is something very satisfying in being able to zoom past cars on the highway.

The Package Deal

I’ve recently gotten involved in a Web community focused on step-parenting. The site, Stepmother’s Milk , is a forum where stepmoms can meet, greet and vent. The site was founded by The Package Deal: My (not-so) Glamorous Transition from Single Gal to Instant Mom author Izzy Rose. (Shameless claim to fame: Izzy and I went to high school together and palled around a bit afterward—at least until life intervened and we lost touch.) I’d known about the site for quite some time and truthfully, I

Electromagnetism is a large, encompassing theory, so it’s no wonder that many people do not understand it because we cannot see it, feel it or even taste it. A basic book on it will almost immediately dive into the world of boring mathematics, such as Maxwell’s equations!Elec

Creating a vintage Hollywood portrait

An online search and a trip to the library turned up plenty of vintage Hollywood portraits for study. A closer, objective look at the photographs revealed a few surprises. This is a pretty common part of the process for me. You see, I had an image in my head of what a vintage portrait looked Related posts: Depth of field in portrait photography. In this day and age it’s possible to create quite beautiful photographs without fully understanding focus and depth of field. As long as yo

Photographing the swimming bird

The opportunities here in the Sierra’s still amaze me. This morning Dad and me went to Mono Lake again trying to find some of the rare birds that still allude us, like the Sage Thrasher. The one bird that we can always play with are the Violet-green Swallow’s. I never get tired of photographing them, always something new. They are also kinda cute and funny. The Sage Thrasher and two Say’s Phoebe’s came out to play but not for long. We left the shores of the briney lake and went on to anoth
